Some retreats are built around activities. Others are built around atmosphere.
This forest yoga retreat at Jungle Park Resort is designed for people who want to slow down, step away from noise, and spend a few days in a more grounded environment. Surrounded by forest, natural sounds, and quiet spaces, the retreat creates room for rest, reflection, and mindful living.
Taking place on June 6 & 7, the retreat will be guided by Apoorva Vedavathi, whose approach to yoga comes from a traditional Gurukula upbringing rooted in discipline, simplicity, and awareness.
A retreat does not need to be complicated to be meaningful. Sometimes, a quiet forest, a simple routine, and a few days away from constant noise are enough to create clarity.
This June 6 & 7, the Forest Yoga Retreat at Jungle Park Resort offers an opportunity to pause, breathe, and reconnect — both with nature and with yourself.
About Apoorva Vedavathi
Apoorva Vedavathi was raised in a Gurukula environment where daily life revolved around Sanskrit, yoga, discipline, and mindful living. Instead of growing up around distractions and constant noise, her upbringing focused on attention, routine, and inner balance.
Her father, Acharya K.K. Subramani, founded the Cauvery Kanya Gurukulam to provide free traditional education for girls from rural backgrounds. Growing up within this environment shaped not only her understanding of yoga, but also her approach to community and personal growth.
Later, she founded YogaDhaama — a quiet retreat space near the Cauvery where people come to reconnect with themselves through simple living, yoga, and reflection.
What Makes This Retreat Different
1. Forest Environment Instead of Closed Spaces
The retreat takes place inside the forest surroundings of Jungle Park Resort in Wayanad. Instead of hotel halls or urban studios, participants experience yoga and mindfulness within nature itself.
The sounds of birds, flowing water, wind, and trees become part of the experience.
2. Yoga Rooted in Traditional Practice
This retreat is not focused on performance or fast-paced routines. The sessions are grounded in traditional practices that encourage awareness, breathing, stillness, and balance.
The focus is on creating space — physically and mentally.
3. A Chance to Slow Down
Modern routines rarely allow silence or stillness. Spending three days in a forest environment naturally changes your pace. Without constant distractions, people often find themselves sleeping better, thinking more clearly, and feeling calmer.
4. Simple Living, Natural Surroundings
The experience at Jungle Park Resort is intentionally close to nature. Forest views, cool air, quiet evenings, and natural surroundings create an environment that supports mindfulness without forcing it.
Nothing feels rushed or overly structured.
5. Space for Reflection and Rest
Many people spend most of their time surrounded by screens, schedules, and constant activity. A forest retreat creates a different rhythm. Quiet mornings, mindful sessions, and peaceful evenings allow participants to slow down and reset mentally.
The natural environment becomes part of the experience itself.
